I wish I would have just bought a bike at a local Target or Walmart, so I could have returned it without the hassle. Right out of the box the bike had scrathces from the poor packaging. The gear shifters are almost impossible for my daughter to use because they are so hard to turn and the brakes are a joke. My daughter went thru the first pair of pads on the bike in a week because they were made of such soft rubber. The wheels came so out of round that I had to have a bike shop true them. For the most part I am a happy Amazon shopper, take my word for it and buy something different then this bike. However, once I opened the box I found out 2 big problems:1) The frame came with some scratches. My guess is that because the bike was somehow pre-assembled, it got scratched during the process. It could be the packing as well, but the only part that was not tied to the frame was the seat so I'm not sure if that could've caused the scratches. 2) The picture shows that the frame is purple and white, but the actual frame is purple and yellowish-white. This was disappointing because, believe it or not, the bike looks really different. Buyers, be aware of this. You may like the bike even if the color is different but for me, it was not what I expected. I decided to return it and I'm waiting for my refund. |
